Tuesday Night (Street Church)

Tonight we all went to the most hurting part of the city and served food and as worship leaders for their service. Nate Z, Nikki F, Nick B and Katrina L helped lead the music, Jamie Cross shared about what the Lord has done in her life and Nate gave the sermon on Habakkuk 3. After Jamie shared her story a man broke down in tears and ran to the front for prayer. Several of us prayed for the man and heard is story. We went on a prayer walk through the allies and our eyes were opened to a depth of pain the many of us have never witnessed. As we walked into many of the areas, the people would yell at us to "LOOK AND LEARN". WE spent several hours after this experience in reflection. In listening to the students it was obvious that they grew in compassion, understanding and feel called to justice.

O.k. I got chills reading the entries tonight. Jamie has a powerful story for sure. Thank you jamie for letting God use you to save others. I can't imagine what that worship service was like for you guys. God is so good to impress upon you what life is like without hope. Continue to be Jesus for these folks and for eachother. We will continue to pray for you from the springs. In Him, Julie p.s. xxoo to Z and K
